Empowering Church Leaders Across the Globe
Church Business Management Institute (CBMI) is a multi-disciplinary Organization founded to address the growing need within the churches for financial sustainability. For years, many churches have relied heavily on external donors, creating an unsustainable model of dependency. CBMI was born out of a vision to reverse this trend by equipping leaders from these organizations with business and management skills that are founded on bibilical principles that can help them lead their ministries towards self-sufficiency.
At Church Business Management Institute (CBMI), we believe that sustainability is the cornerstone of impactful ministry. For too long, leaders from these organizations, for example; the Anglican Church in Africa have faced significant challenges rooted in financial dependency and poor asset management. These challenges often hinder ministries from reaching their full potential, as they rely heavily on external donors. Our mission is to change this narrative by equipping leaders with the practical tools, strategies, and business acumen needed to build ministries that not only serve their congregations today but continue to grow, thrive, and expand for generations to come.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every church operates with confidence, free from financial dependence, and focused on its mission. By reducing dependency, we believe churches can refocus their energy on what truly matters that is to say spiritual growth, community engagement, and long-term ministry success.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build capacity for leaders in the churches by providing them with practical, implementable skills. These skills enable leaders to plan, manage, and execute financially viable projects that support their ministries, allowing them to thrive independently.
We are guided by the following values:
- Acceptance: Welcoming leaders from all backgrounds, adapting our approaches to their unique needs.
- Simplicity: Providing straightforward, practical solutions that are easy to implement and sustain.
- Flexibility: Tailoring our services to fit the diverse challenges faced by different churches and dioceses.
- Sustainability: Ensuring that every project, strategy, and skill we teach leads to long-term growth and independence.
By combining these values with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by churches, we have become a trusted partner for those seeking to transform their ministries.
